Sample Itinerary
This Itinerary is for a 5 day / 4 night Copper Canyon Train Tour and provides for an additional day to spend in the mountain town of Creel and visit more of the many attractions and activities the area has to offer.
Day 1 - After a hearty breakfast on our 50-foot Yacht “Endeavor”, we travel in by a Van America van to the City of Guyamas. Here we visit a pearl farm. It is the only pearl farm on the North American continent and has held this distinction for 490 years. The commerce of pearls in Mexico is as old as the pre Columbian era when Mayans and Aztec dealers went far and wide with in their empires to fetch magnificent pearls for their rulers and gods. You can visit the new Delphinerio to enjoy a show where Dolphins and Seals entertain the public and interact with the audience. Lunch is on us at Los Barcos, a lovely open Mexican Restaurant, which is located on the waterfront in Guyamas.

After lunch we travel about 300 km south to the 16th Century, Colonial town of El Fuerte. Here we stay for the night at the beautiful Hotel Posada del Hidalgo. This hotel is a converted Colonial Mansion built in 1890 when the town was a bustling railroad hub and enjoyed a vibrant economy. The Hotel is reported to have been the original site where Zorro once lived. Some of the timber used to decorate the ceilings and walls where imported from as far away as California and Canada. The hotel also has beautiful gardens that should not be missed. Enjoy dinner and happy hour at the Palapa bar with live Mexican music, Pina Colatas, Margaritas and the ladies can even request a dance with Zorro himself.
